Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights over it. It is written to align with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Who we are (Responsible Party)

This site (fransois-diamond-coaching.vercel.app, “the Site”) and the coaching services are operated by Fransois Fourie, trading as Parabellum Elite Fitness Academy (also known as “The Diamond”) — a sole proprietor based in Mossel Bay, South Africa (“we”, “us”, “our”).

We are the “Responsible Party” for your personal information under POPIA.

2. What personal information we collect

• You give us directly: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp, Instagram handle, and — if you apply for coaching — your goals, training experience, timeline, and budget band.
• Health & fitness information (only if you become a client or choose to share it in an application): body-weight and measurements, progress photos, training and nutrition history, injuries, and any medications or supplements you disclose. This is “special personal information” under POPIA, and we only process it with your explicit consent, to deliver coaching.
• Automatically: basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the Site is used (see §7). We do not use advertising cookies or build an advertising profile of you.

3. Why we process it

• To respond to enquiries and coaching applications.
• To deliver, personalise and adjust your coaching (training, nutrition, posing, check-ins).
• To send you information you requested (e.g. a downloadable guide or your Scorecard result) and, if you opt in, occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep records, arrange payment, and meet legal obligations.
• To improve the Site.

4. Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), the performance of our coaching agreement with you, and our legitimate interests in running and improving the business — balanced against your rights.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate:

• Email / form provider — MailerLite: receives your application or Scorecard details and sends the emails you asked for.
• Hosting & analytics — Vercel: hosts the Site and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.

Payments are arranged directly with you after your application is accepted (e.g. EFT or invoice). We do not take card payments through this Site and we do not store your card details.

Some providers may process data outside South Africa. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable with POPIA.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to 12 months, and client data for the duration of your coaching plus 5 years for tax and legal records (in line with South African record-keeping requirements), after which we delete or anonymise it — unless the law requires longer.

7. Cookies & analytics

The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not track you across other sites or build an advertising profile. If we ever add a marketing pixel, we will disclose it here and add a cookie-consent banner first.

8. Your rights under POPIA

You may: access the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; object to processing; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email parabellum.elitetraining@gmail.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) — inforegulator.org.za, enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information and limit access to it. No online service is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Children

The Site and coaching are intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version; material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
